What to include
- The compound — CAS number, catalogue number, or the impurity designation (for example “Compound X EP Impurity B”).
- The quantity — pack size and number of units, or the total mass required.
- The purpose — identification, system suitability, quantification, or method validation. This determines the documentation that matters.
- The destination — country and any carrier or temperature-logging requirement.
- For custom work — the structure (SMILES, InChI or a drawing), the parent drug, and the required date.
