Shipping, packaging and lead times
Shipping conditions are decided per compound, and the lead time is confirmed with the quotation rather than assumed from a catalogue page.
Packaging
- Small quantities are supplied in sealed vials or ampoules with the catalogue number, lot number and storage condition on the label.
- Light- and moisture-sensitive compounds are packed accordingly (amber glass, desiccant, sealed secondary packaging).
- Documentation (certificate of analysis and SDS) is sent electronically, and referenced in the shipment paperwork.
Temperature control
Conditions stated on the product page are the conditions the material must be kept in and the basis on which it was shipped to you. Typical options:
| Condition | Used for |
|---|---|
| Ambient / room temperature | Stable solids and solutions not sensitive to transport temperature |
| Ice packs / cold chain | Thermolabile compounds, some solutions and biological standards |
| Frozen, dry ice | Compounds specified for storage well below 0 °C |
The exact configuration for your item is confirmed in the quotation, and the storage condition is repeated on the certificate.
Lead times
Stock is indicated on each product page: In stock items are held and can normally be dispatched within a few working days of order confirmation; items marked On synthesis or with a stated lead time are produced or released to order, and the date is confirmed with the quotation.
International shipments and customs
- Shipments are sent by international courier with tracking, to laboratory and institutional addresses.
- Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of analysis and SDS accompany the shipment where required. HS commodity codes for the catalogue items are available on request so that your broker can clear the consignment.
- Transport of hazardous or controlled materials follows the applicable classification; where a compound cannot be shipped to a particular destination, this is stated before the order is accepted.
Before you order
Tell us the destination country and whether your facility requires a specific carrier or a temperature logger. Those two answers change packing, cost and transit time more than anything else.
