Salbutamol-d3 is the trideuterated isotopologue of salbutamol, the short-acting beta-2 adrenergic agonist used as a bronchodilator in asthma and also monitored as a growth-promoting agent in livestock. Three deuterium atoms replace hydrogen in the tertiary butyl group, yielding C13H18D3NO3 and a molecular weight of 242.33. Because the labelled and unlabelled forms behave almost identically during sample clean-up and chromatography but differ in mass, the compound is chiefly used as an internal standard for residue and bioanalytical assays, as well as for method development and validation, identification of target peaks, and quantitative calibration. It is a white to off-white solid stored at -20 °C (±5 °C) and shipped with ice packs. Pack sizes offered include 1 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg and 1 mL.
