Deuterated analogues of pharmaceuticals are widely used as internal standards in residue and bioanalytical work, and Carbamazepine-d10 is the ring-deuterated form of carbamazepine, the anticonvulsant also prescribed for trigeminal neuralgia and bipolar disorder.
