Levomefolic Acid-13C,d3 is a stable-isotope-labelled form of levomefolic acid, the biologically active 5-methyltetrahydrofolate form of folate, carrying one carbon-13 atom and three deuterium atoms. The label provides a mass difference from the natural analyte while preserving its chromatographic and ionisation behaviour, which is what makes the compound useful as an internal standard in quantitative folate work. It supports LC-MS/MS method development and validation, isotope dilution calibration, recovery and matrix-effect assessment in serum, foods and supplements, and identification of folate species in complex biological samples.
