Vitamin K1-d7 is the heptadeuterated form of phylloquinone, the plant-derived form of vitamin K, and carries a formula of C31H39D7O2 with a molecular weight of 457.74. Its near-identical chromatographic behaviour and measurable mass difference from the unlabelled vitamin make it an effective internal standard for isotope-dilution assays in food, dietary supplement and clinical matrices. Laboratories use it for method development and validation, for confirming peak identity in complex sample extracts, and for quantitative calibration where recovery varies between samples.
